In the spirit of Labor Day, take a break and get outside! That’s what we’re doing this weekend (various BBQs and picnics mixed in with some meetings and work, actually…). If you need a little inspiration, we’ve linked up to some of our favorite previous posts for whole family activities.
If your weather is going to be as lovely as ours is maybe supposed to be, grab some bikes and take a family ride around the neighborhood. Whip up some giant bubbles and bubble wands. Let your kiddos help out with cooking for the Labor Day picnic. Most importantly, don’t forget the sunscreen!
If this is looking like more of a rainy indoor weekend, maybe it’s time to catch up on your end-of-summer/back-to-school reading. Spend some time crafting. Or, stay busy with our true love, family board games.
We’ve been known to hold the Fair Play Family Olympics, a hybrid indoor/outdoor (weather-dependent) competition featuring board games like Taboo and Scattergories, lawn games like croquet or bocce ball (and now ladder golf), and an always lively game of Spoons.
Happy Labor Day everyone!
